We were a family of 4, two adults and two full-grown sons. Since the guesthouse was not fully booked, they were kind enough to allow my boys to stay in a separate room from ours.

I enjoyed meeting other guests over breakfast and chatting with the hostess. Hali is a small place, not large enough to call it a town really. Of the two restaurants nearby, the Museum restaurant was superior.

The guest house could not have been more perfect! We were snowmobiling and doing the glacier lagoon the next day, so we wanted to stay somewhere in Southeast Iceland and I’m so glad we found the perfect place! It was a great escape from Reykjavik for a night, and the owners were so kind! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were quaint and clean! I’ll definitely be recommending this property to any friends looking to visit this part of Iceland.

Small guest house, but big on friendliness. Everything was clean and bright, even though the quarters were snug. There are two restaurants, and it’s very close to the ice lagoon, and that was the most important thing of all, I recommend it. The owner answered all our questions and more.
